THIS IS A STAY-TO-PLAY TOURNAMENT!
KC Martin Luther King Day Tournament is a STAY-TO-PLAY tournament. In order to compete in the tournament, teams must book their hotel accommodations through Team Travel Source, the Official Housing Company for the KC Martin Luther King Day Tournament. It is essential that we have full team cooperation to ensure your placement in the tournament and allow us to secure enough quality rooms at the best possible group pricing.

WHAT IS STAY-TO-PLAY?
Stay to Play means that in order to compete at the tournament, teams must stay in one of the official hotels set up by the contracted Housing Company (currently Team Travel Source). All reservations must be made online or via phone with Team Travel Source. Coaches and parents cannot call the hotels directly or book with a direct hotel website. Reservations with a third party (Expedia.com, Hotels.com, etc.) will not be compliant with the stay to play policy.
Clubs 75 miles or more away (as registered in webpoint) from the venue will be required to use Stay to Play for their teams. Clubs with multiple locations must provide a list of teams for each location and their practice facility address.
The Stay-To-Play policy is in place to help increase the amount of room nights available to teams and clubs and to help police the rates the hotels are offering. By increasing the amount of room nights actually used for the purpose of attending our events, Team Travel Source is able to prove to the host cities our positive impact on their local economy and maintain lower rates for our attendees. Team Travel Source uses a system that directly communicates with the hotels to get the necessary inventory, monitor pick-up and verify eligibility of your team for the tournament.
